Friction One’s backing plates, shims, and hardware are engineered to form the foundation of reliable braking performance — combining precision engineering, advanced materials, and full in-house manufacturing control.
Friction One backing plates are produced using multi-stage progressive stamping dies and hydraulic presses applying up to 500 tons of pressure to achieve perfect flatness and dimensional accuracy. Each plate undergoes automated edge trimming and surface treatment to ensure smoothness, coating adhesion, and consistent pad bonding quality.
We manufacture noise reduction shims using laser-cut Trelleborg and Wolverine materials — the industry’s most trusted acoustic dampening solutions — for quiet braking and long-term durability.
Our hardware kits are precision-formed from high-strength spring steel and zinc-coated for corrosion resistance, ensuring OE-level fit and consistent performance throughout the brake’s service life.

Manufacturing Excellence
Our disc production begins in our high-efficiency Xiantao foundry, where advanced melting and casting systems deliver superior metallurgy for strength and durability. From there, more than 500 CNC machining centers and robotic stations perform precision operations, ensuring exact tolerances across millions of units annually.
Each disc then receives multi-stage surface treatments for corrosion resistance and branding — meeting OE-level requirements for safety and performance.
